Nuclear energy is a form of energy generated from nuclear fission or nuclear fusion of atoms. Advantages: 1. No emission of gases: Nuclear power plants allow for electricity generation without emitting greenhouse gases. In this sense, it does not contribute to global warming as it is an alternative to fossil fuels. The smoke coming out of the chimneys is water vapor. 2. High energy yield with little fuel: Large amounts of energy are obtained with a small amount of fuel. This implies two advantages: • Savings in raw materials. • Savings in transportation, extraction, and handling of uranium. The cost of uranium accounts for 20% of the cost of generated energy. 3. Predictable: Electricity production is continuous. A nuclear power plant generates electricity for almost 90% of the hours in a year. That is, it does not depend on natural aspects. This continuity favors electrical planning. Cost-wise, it is also predictable. Uranium does not suffer from the price volatility that other fu...

INFOGRAFIA. Integrantes: Mauricio Fonseca puello Jose A. Herrera Arrieta Nuclear energy exhibition BERVE HISTORIA DE CHERNOVIL In 1986, a serious accident occurred at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant in Ukraine. A safety test went wrong, causing an explosion in one of the nuclear reactors. This resulted in a massive release of radioactive material into the atmosphere, causing an unprecedented nuclear disaster. The surrounding area had to be evacuated and an exclusion zone was developed due to the high radiation. The accident had global repercussions in terms of nuclear safety and awareness of the risks associated with nuclear energy. Nuclear power plants cannot explode like an atomic bomb. Nuclear power plants are designed with great precision, ensuring that the release of energy occurs in a controlled manner and is used only to produce electricity, rather than generating a destructive explosion as is the case with nuclear bombs. Its operation is highly safe due to the measures impl...

Blog for Unit 3 1. Talk about a person you think has a lot of talent: My sister Alba is an incredibly talented person. Her voice is simply amazing, and I believe she should seriously consider pursuing a career as a singer. She has a perfect tone and a natural ability to adapt to different music styles. She could shine in genres like salsa, vallenato, merengue, and even reggaeton. Although Alba doesn't feel a great passion for music and hasn't considered a singing career, I firmly believe that she would be phenomenal and extraordinary in that field. She has the potential to impact many people with her voice and leave a lasting mark in the music industry.
